Veld Flora Table Runner — Pure Linen

There’s an hour above Jonkershoek in autumn when the vines turn copper and the proteas catch the low afternoon light; coral, indigo, gold. Veld Flora is a collection drawn from that hour. Pincushions, king proteas, banksias and leucadendrons, sketched by hand and layered the way a printmaker works a plate — scored, stippled, smudged with colour.

That same quality of light and layering lives in this table runner. Spread across a warm ground of natural, unbleached linen, the botanical print moves the way the veld does — full and unhurried, with depth you notice differently each time you sit down at the table.

The linen is 245g/m² pure linen: substantial enough to drape well and hold its place, soft enough to handle beautifully. Like all good linen, it only improves with washing — loosening, softening, settling into itself. The print is applied in eco-friendly water-based pigment inks that stay true to the original illustration without masking the texture of the cloth beneath.

The 40×180cm runner suits a 6–8-seater rectangular or round table with a relaxed overhang at each end. The 40×250cm is made for longer harvest or trestle tables seating 8–12, or for anyone who likes their table to feel generously dressed.
